REGION DEVELOPMENT TEAM - October 2007 Newsletter
Hello to everyone! I’m sure you are all busy on the ice getting ready for the Williston Competition, Northern Games Skate-Offs and Sectionals. This is going to be a very busy first half of the season, and I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the various events between now and December!
I would like to congratulate all of the skaters who took tests at the qualifying test days in September. Keep up the great work!
Just a reminder that the RDT season goes from December 1st 2006 to November 30th 2007. This means that you are still on the team through the fall months. Events taking place include:
Williston Competition and Northern BC Winter Games Qualifying hosted by the PGFSC in October.
BC/YT Sectional Championships held in Kamloops in November.
Annie’s Edges Seminar hosted by the CNC Region along with the Chetwynd and Terrace Skating Clubs.
2007-08 REGION DEVELOPMENT TEAM REGISTRATION PACKS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT WILLISTON. A TABLE WILL BE SET UP FROM 10-2 ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. ANNIE’S EDGES REGISTRATION FORMS WILL ALSO BE ACCEPTED. (Terrace seminar)
All members of the 2006-07 RDT, RST and PDT will receive a discount on their registration for the Annie’s Edges Seminar that they attend. If you are attending the seminar in Chetwynd, HAVE A GREAT TIME! If you are attending the seminar in Terrace, please make sure you get your registrations in soon.
The new Region Development season begins December 1st 2007. New registration forms will be emailed out to all clubs, coaches, and past members of the RDT as soon as they are available. They will also be available at Williston, and you can drop them off there too! Because Regionals is so early this year, the deadline for forms is November 16th. Remember, you must be on the team in order to attend the Kelowna Seminar in the spring.
The tentative date for the Kelowna Seminar is April 5-7th. Please note that this is not the Easter weekend.
