2004-2005 SEASON
Our North area held a planning meeting in May, 2004 with all clubs
participating except for Mile 300. Mile 300 club has been working all
summer getting ready to have two new coaches arrive. Fort Nelson with
the oil industry is growing in leaps and bounds.. .so look forward to
some great things coming out of that club.
High Performance - Fort St John, August 2004 was a great Seminar, could
have used more skaters. Moderators did a great job.
Field Training - September 2004 - this seminar is more club oriented
along with primary skaters. Marilyn and I plan on a club seminar for the
parents, Little Giant and Mile 300 are planning on attending with their
executives, both have lots of new people so a good time to work on club
issues. Also plan on having a short area meeting to catch up on dates
etc.
Syncro Seminar (Sport BC) planned for Dawson Creek. Chante is busy
getting it all organized, City of Dawson Creek will be putting ice into
the other arena this coming weekend.
Judges Bureau
was looking for ice to handle qualifying tests. Mile 0 has an extra
block of ice for Sunday following Syncro from 2 - 6 p.m. (have passed
that info on to Donna).
Jan 29-30, 2005 is still planned for a Dance Seminar in the North -
Peace Passage to host. Michell Park will be the moderator and also the
dance partner for tests Feb 11 -13 hosted by Little Giant FSC.
Feb 5 - 7, 2005 - Northern Winter Games in Dawson Creek Dawson Creek is
excited about hosting the event
