TERRACE SKATING CLUB Terrace Skating Club is now taking applications for a Club Coach for the 2010/2011 season. Following are the qualifications TSC is looking for in a Club Coach: - NCCP Level 1 or higher - Must be a registered/certified Skate Canada coach - Enthusiastic, motivated, organized
- Willing to work with all of our programs: CanSkate, TotSkate,
- Be able to teach all levels of skaters from special needs to
- Be able to work with other coaches, parents, volunteers and Terrace Skating Club has around 150 skaters in various programs. Club Coach is a salaried position with remuneration based on qualifications. We are a Northern BC community with two arenas, one of which is brand new. We offer summer school for the last two weeks of August. There is ice from September to April with the possibility of an extension. TSC has 21.5 hours of ice a week during the regular season. TSC usually has 3 Club coaches and at this time we have only 2. This is a wonderful opportunity for new young coaches wanting to get experience while working with veteran coaches or veteran coaches wanting to settle down in a smaller community with an established club. SPRUCE CITY SKATING CLUB The Spruce City Skating Club is accepting applications for an enthusiastic, dynamic Director of Skating for the upcoming 2009/2010 season. The successful applicant will possess an NCCP Level 2 or higher certification. This position will involve coaching at all levels and in all disciplines including Canskate, StarSkate Group, StarSkate and Competitive. We currently have approximately 180 members participating in CanSkate, Canpower, StarSkate Group, and StarSkate programs. We are a year round club with over 25 hours of ice per week during the winter season. We also have regular spring, summer and fall sessions, all of which include an attractive administrative component. The Spruce City Skating Club is located in the Hart Highlands area of Prince George, BC. Prince George has a population of approximately 80,000, and is also the home of the University of Northern British Columbia and College of New Caledonia.
