Gold Interpretive Test

2009 - Quesnel

 

The Quesnel Figure Skating Club would like to congratulate Torrye McKenzie on achieving her Gold Interpretive test. A member of the QFSC since September 1997, Torrye is a cheerful skater and positive role model to her peers. She works part time at the Merle Norman Studio 324 as well as maintaining her studies as an honour roll student at Correlieu Secondary. Off season,Torrye is a dedicated baseball player selected to the Northern BC Summer Games team that went to Kelowna for the 2008 Provincials. Torrye has been a valuable Program Assistant for Quesnel's CanSkate programs for the past 5 years and was brilliant in her role as the Scarecrow of our Wizard of Oz Ice Production. Torrye wishes to thank her former coach, Stacey Lake, for their years together and her Freeskate, Interpretive and Skills coach, JoAnn Nadalin, for the time and attention spent on her programs. Also Sharon Chow, her dance coach, for everything she has done for her. Lastly, Torrye would like to thank her Mom, Dad, and sister Kelly for their love, support and faith over the past 12 years with more to come ahead.

Gold Skills Test

2009 - Quesnel

 

The Quesnel Figure Skating Club would like to congratulate Kina Ellison for completing her Gold Skills. Kina began skating at 8 years old with the QFSC and has been a dedicated example to her fellow members as a Program Assistant for both our CanSkate and Preschool lessons. Her focus and dedication to our sport have resulted in excellent showmanship under the direction of her coach, Jo-Ann Nadalin. Kina excelled in the lead role of our 2009 ice production of the Wizard of Oz and her portrayal of Dorothy was inspirational. Kina's interests include swimming and ballet and she remains a presence on the Principle's Roll at Correlieu Secondary School. Her skating achievements include a Sr. Silver Freeskate Test and she has successfully completed a segment of her Gold Freeskate Test.
